Travelling with Essential Oils
Travelling is almost back normal, and we are all very happy about that. But when we travel, we will also inevitably face some issues. Whether it’s minor wounds, scrapes and bruises, insect bites, headaches and migraines, nausea, travel sickness, upset stomachs, trying to get a good night’s sleep, starting the day energised, and so forth.
Luckily, aromatherapy can help, and we only need three oils to cover all these issues/complaints: 1. Lavender, 2. Peppermint 3. Ginger.
Here’s how to use these oils…
For minor wounds, scrapes and bruises, insect bites
Apply a few drops of lavender oil directly onto the affected area.
For headaches and migraines
Put a few drops of peppermint oil onto a tissue paper and inhale deeply. Massage one drop of peppermint oil into each temple, behind each ear and along the neck line.
For travel sickness, giddiness, upset stomachs
Put a few drops of ginger and/or peppermint oil on a tissue paper and inhale deeply. Put one drop of peppermint oil and one drop of ginger oil on a sugar cube and let it slowly dissolve in your mouth. Add a few drops of peppermint oil and ginger oil to a base oil, for example jojoba, and massage it into your abdomen.
For a good night’s sleep
Add a few drops of lavender oil to your evening shower gel and/or shampoo. Massage two drops of lavender oil into the soles of your feet. Put a few drops of lavender oil on a tissue paper and place it next to your pillow.
To start the day energised
Add a few drops of peppermint oil to your morning shower gel and/or shampoo.
There are actually many more benefits to these three oils then what is mentioned above. They take up very little space, they weigh very little, and they can be hand-carried onto a plane without any problems, so make sure that you always have them with you when on the go!
Important: For these applications you need to be sure that your oils are truly pure, therefore always get your oils from either STYX or PAEOS™.
Safe travels!
